Carlos Sarmiento, AIA, NCARB, LEED

Mr. Sarmiento leads the work of the studio. Before starting SRTO, Carlos was a Senior Associate at Perkins Eastman, one of the largest firms in New York City. He has worked on projects in New York, Florida, and around the world: ranging from apartment renovations to multi-million dollar projects with large teams. Thanks to his global network he has partnered with some of the most diverse and successful individuals in their respective fields. He leverages his varied experience to maximize a collaborative process with clients to create a shared vision.

In addition to his professional endeavors, Mr. Sarmiento has been active at universities in New York and Miami. He currently teaches architectural design at Florida International University. Carlos holds an M.Arch from the Architectural Association in London which he attended upon being awarded a graduate bursary. He also received a professional B.Arch from the University of Miami. He is licensed to practice architecture in Florida and New York. 

When Carlos is not occupied with architecture, he spends time with his wife, children, and extended family.
